People on the Move

13 April 2017

Coming off a successful 2016, Focus has spent time reflecting on the strengths and accomplishments of its team members. As a result there are several substantial and well-deserved promotions to announce:

Joe Vartanian, promoted to SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

Joe joined the company in April of 2015 and held positions as a Project Manager I and Project Manager II, during which he made substantial contributions to our Development business practices and was integral in the initial work on the 831 Emerson project. Joe has been a great asset since day one and is currently working on two projects in Downtown Chicago; Medical District Apartments and Soul City Church. He brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to all of the projects he has worked on.

Jill Fiandaca, promoted to ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Jill joined the company in 2012 as a Project Coordinator and moved into the field as a Project Engineer shortly thereafter. Over the course of the last 5 years she has had a hand in two of our largest projects; The Oaks of Naperville and The Parker – Futon Market. Jill is an integral part of our Focus Construction team and is currently working on several projects in the preconstruction phase.

Brendan O’Carroll, promoted to ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

Brendan joined the team in September 2014 as a Project Engineer and has been the key to success for projects like the Courthouse Square Apartments and Lou Malnati’s West Loop. Today, Brendan is focused on Vernon Hill’s project The Atworth at Mellody Farm and is the driving force behind many of our building’s LEED status.

Manny Ochoa, promoted to SUPERINTENDENT II

Manny joined the company in October 2012 as a Superintendent I. One of our first hires coming out of the recession, Manny immediately felt like part of the family. Over the last 5 years Manny has been integral to the success of projects like 1717 Ridge, The Oaks of Naperville and Courthouse Square Apartments. This year, Manny currently dedicates his time to a new Focus project that is still in the early stages of development.

We are thrilled to cheer these team members on as they embark on the next chapter of their Focus careers.
